How to manage burnout with Yoga Nidra - Part 2

Ignoring warning signs is ignoring science

Burnout rarely arrives suddenly, the body whispers first.

Tight shoulders.

Stiff back.

Disturbed sleep.

Irritability.

Emotional numbness.

Loss of joy.

But modern (hustle) culture trains us to override these signals.

Wait… you are not alone, i too ignored these signs!

In 2004, the daily practice included a particular Yoga(sana) routine. Also had to ride bike a total of 90kms a day to work.

My teacher Shankarji observed this routine.

He said that for my nature of work, it is enough to practice Yogasanas as prescribed by Swami Sivananda of Divine Life Society.

Didn’t heed to His advice, along with daily (rough) bike rides, exertion in asana practice, and due to various stress factors, L5 issue emerged…

That’s when i understood that Yoga teaches awareness before collapse, and Masters can see future 🙏🏼

In Shrimath Yoga Nidra, we systematically observe body and breath, and subtle tension patterns emerge, if any.

Over time, you then become sensitive enough to notice imbalances early.

This sensitivity is not weakness, but subtle intelligence.

Remember… your body is not an obstacle to productivity but is the instrument through which productivity happens.

Ignoring the body is like ignoring cracks in the foundation of a temple.

Yoga Nidra helps us listen else life is forced to intervene.

I learnt this the hard way. You don’t need to make such mistakes as the wise learn from mistakes of others 🧘‍♂️
