You can plan for a hundred years, but you don't know what will happen in the next moment
Neem Karoli Baba

Why Kainchi Dham
From building spatikam and firstresource.net in the early 2000s, working with young minds and non-urban talent, to stepping away from both during a profound Dharma-Sankata, the journey has consistently pointed inward.
What seemed like setbacks became doorways into deeper Indic Wisdom, leading through Shreyas Retreat and eventually to Shrimath Yoga.
Years later, at another defining moment on 15 Jan 2026, the quiet grace of Neem Karoli Baba at Kainchi Dham brought a powerful reminder: “Dharma protects those who protect Dharma” (धर्मो रक्षति रक्षितः).
This immersion is born from that lived truth, not as a program, but as a sacred offering in a space where clarity emerges from surrender, where inner conflict finds resolution, and where each participant is gently guided to reconnect with and uphold their own Dharma.

Padam Puri Ashram
Tucked in a valley between the mountains a little way from Nainital, Sombari Baba's ashram in Padampuri is a quiet, lesser-known gem. Set beside a river and surrounded by serene natural beauty, it holds an immense sense of peace.
The energy here is deeply positive and calming, offering a tranquil retreat far from the crowds of Neem Karoli Baba's Kainchi Dham. It remains one of the most beautiful and serene places to visit in the region.

Kainchi Dham Ashram
Kainchi Dham is a revered ashram and temple nestled in the hills of the Kumaon region, set along a river a short drive from Nainital. Founded by the beloved saint Neem Karoli Baba, affectionately known as Maharaj-ji, it has grown into one of the most visited spiritual destinations in the area, drawing seekers and devotees from across India and around the world.
The surroundings are lush and serene, and the atmosphere carries a profound sense of devotion and calm. Despite its popularity, the ashram retains a quiet spiritual energy that continues to draw people seeking peace and connection.

Kakrighat
Kakrighat is a peaceful, little-known spot set on the banks of the Kosi River in the Kumaon hills, along the old route between Nainital and Almora.
It is home to an ancient temple and a quiet ashram, shaded by old trees and surrounded by the gentle sound of flowing water.
The place holds deep spiritual significance, as it is believed that Neem Karoli Baba spent time meditating here and had a profound spiritual experience during his early years.
Today it remains a serene, untouched retreat, carrying a stillness and sacred energy that makes it a meaningful stop on the Kainchi Dham immersion.

Jnana Vriksha
The Jnana Vriksha, or Tree of Knowledge, is a sacred Peepal tree at Kakrighat in Uttarakhand's Kumaon region, standing within the grounds of the Karkateshwar Mahadev Temple near the Kosi River. It is remembered as the spot where Swami Vivekananda, travelling through the Himalayas with Swami Akhandananda in August 1890, meditated after bathing in the river and experienced a profound spiritual awakening, realizing the oneness of the individual and the universe.
The original tree dried up around 2014, and in July 2016 a cloned sapling raised by agricultural research institutes was ceremonially planted in the same spot to preserve this heritage site. Located about 20 km from the Ramakrishna Kutir in Almora, it remains a key stop along the official Swami Vivekananda Trail and a place of deep stillness and reverence.

Kasar Devi - Where the earth itself invites you inward
Science has long known that certain places on Earth carry a different charge.
Kasar Devi, a small village in Almora, Uttarakhand, just a short distance from Kainchi Dham, sits on one of the most extraordinary geomagnetic anomalies on the planet.
It is widely believed to lie on the Van Allen Belt, a gap in the bands of radiation trapped by Earth's magnetic field.
This localized anomaly creates a natural vortex of cosmic rays and solar wind, placing this Himalayan valley in rare company alongside Machu Picchu in Peru and Stonehenge in England.
"Only three such places are known to exist on Earth. Machu Picchu, Stonehenge, and this Himalayan valley."
Sages, seekers and scientists have all been drawn here. It is no coincidence that Neem Karoli Baba chose to build his ashram in this very valley. That Swami Vivekananda meditated in these hills.
That generations of seekers, long before the modern world gave it a name, instinctively knew that something here is different.
When you practice Shrimath Yoga Nidra in this land, you are not just resting the body. You are resting in a field the Earth herself has been quietly preparing for thousands of years.

Benefits of Program

Improved emotional regulation
Reduced reaction to response

Krishnaleela Homestay
To reach the location, a gentle 600 m trek is undertaken. This short walk is intentional, allowing you to gradually disconnect from noise and settle inward.
The property is the only one permitted in this protected vicinity, ensuring a rare sense of quiet and authenticity, while still being very close to the Neem Karoli Baba Ashram.
